Friends open day 2005

The Friends Open Day was a great success, with over 30 people attending, and kind weather.

I gave a presentation on the history of the wood, and how it had progressed to what we have today. Then i gave a guided tour, showing off all the improvements that have taken place over the last few years.

This was followed by a buffet fit for king and queen, thanks to Janet

In the afternoon Dean and Jane Hemingway  (of Broadwings) and their daughter Vicky brought along their owls and chatted to the thrilled onlookers. Then finally we showed off our new Intensive Care and Duckling Unit and Swan Pen at the hospital.
