Lower Moss Wood Educational Nature Reserve

Friends of Lower Moss Wood

Lower Moss Wood Educational Nature and Wildlife Hospital was developed to inform people of how farming and conservation can work hand in hand bringing closer links between town and country.  Each year the Wood brings pleasure to thousands of school children and adults alike.

The reserve is a haven for wildlife and is open by prior arrangement only to organised parties such as schools, societies, natural history parties, groups with disabilities and interested individuals.

The wildlife hospital is not available for viewing but there will be a special open day for Friends each year.  We also have an adoption scheme where you can sponsor our resident animals or the hospital itself for one year.

By becoming a Friend of Lower Moss Wood ...

... you will help us to continue our good work in the education of children and adults alike about the wonders of the natural world, and how to look after and enjoy the environment.

... you will also help us continue to care for the thousands of sick, orphaned and injured animals and birds that are brought to our well run Wildlife Hospital each year.
